MAËLLE CORNUT

Intertwined Destinies, Glaciers and their companion species est un projet art-science réalisé dans le cadre d’une bourse du programme PolARTS de Pro Helvetia et du Swiss Polar Institute. Durant une année et demie Maëlle Cornut et le Dr Gianalberto Losapio (UNIL) échangent au sujet de leurs pratiques respectives autour de la question du retrait des glaciers et de l’impact de leur disparition sur la biodiversité. Le terrain se trouve sur le site de Ferpècle, des alentours du glacier du Mont Miné jusqu’au barrage. Le projet mêle recherche scientifique et artistique et aboutit par la production de données scientifiques et par un projet artistique.

Intertwined Destinies, Glaciers and their companion species is an art-science project carried out under a grant from Pro Helvetia's PolARTS programme and the Swiss Polar Institute. Over the course of a year and a half, Maëlle Cornut and Dr Gianalberto Losapio (UNIL) will discuss their respective practices in relation to the retreat of glaciers and the impact of their disappearance on biodiversity. The site is located on the Ferpècle site, from the Mont Miné glacier to the dam. The project combines scientific and artistic research, culminating in the production of scientific data and an artistic project.
